Welcome to Rome – the eternal city – it has one of the oldest histories in Europe – it is a City surrounding a City – The Vatican City. Josephine Onyia (ESP)– she went under 12.60 secs both in Berlin and Oslo over the hurdles - she is proving to be very competitive at the highest level (9 sec)
A strong contender is Blanka Vlasic (CRO) – she has been dominant so far in the HJ with 2.03m in Berlin and 2.04m in Oslo… (9 sec)
For the men Bershawn Jackson (USA) was better in 0slo than in Berlin over 400m Hurdles - his 48.15 clocking in Oslo suggests that in Rome he will improve again… (10 sec)
Hussain Al-Sabee (KSA) has won the Long jump twice by the narrowest of margins. He looks the most vulnerable of the five athletes who remain contenders. (9 sec) The above to be followed by view over the Olympic Stadium in Rome
