In 1998, at triple jump she improved her personal best by more than 1 metre, and was 9th at European Championships. On Monday June 7, 2004, 1999 world triple jump champion Paraskeví (Voúla) Tsiamíta gave a farewell party for her friends in a central Athens hotel. Tsiamíta wanted to make a comeback for the Olympics, but persistent injuries forced her to quit training. Many people attended the party, even members of the Greek Parliament! As at now she has not yet disclosed her plans for the future.
