Istanbul 2012 - Flash Interviews - Pentathlon FINAL

Natallia DOBRYNSKA, UKR

I feel so good. Today is my day. I'm not surprised I broke the world record. I was confident I could do it here. I was ready mentally for this record for a long time, but in the past years there was always a little something going wrong that prevented me from breaking it. Today, everything was ok, and I managed. And I'm even happier, because my parents came to Istanbul, so they were here to see it!

Jessica ENNIS, GBR

It is the worst feeling you could ever have, seeing your name in first place and then in second. You have good and bad events. That's the nature of the event. Today was the Long Jump, reaching the board. I always believe things happen for a reason. I have learned lots from Daegu and here. Natallia is always brilliant in Olympic years. Congratulations to her.

Third - Austra SKUJYTE, LTU 4802 points NR

It feels great. I was so down after the shot put and the long jump, and then I still had to run the 800m. My first two events, the hurdles and the high jump were just perfect with two new PBs. But my shot put was terrible, really a desaster. Then long jump was so-so. In the 800m I really can't go any faster. I knew that I must not loose Dobrznska for more than 10 seconds. And now a NR - I knew that I am in a shape good enough for the NR. What does my bronze medal mean for the London Olympics? Well, there will be seven events and everybody will be coming. Everybody will be ready. So we will have to see. My goal is to stay fit and healthy.
