13 April, 1999 - Monte Carlo – The International Amateur Athletic Federation has officially ratified the following World Indoor Records, set during the 7th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Maebashi, Japan:

Indoor Women

4x400m 3:24.25 CHEBYKINA Tayana; GONCHARENKO Svetlana; KOTLYAROVA Olga;
NAZAROVA Natalya		 RUS Maebashi 7 March 1999

Previously 3:26.84, set by Russia on 9 March 1997, during the 6th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Paris

Indoor Men

MINOR Deon;
