Sailer and Rief confirmed for Karlsruhe
The 25-year-old Sailer cruised to the European 100m title in Barcelona last summer with a sizzling 11.10 personal best. She is also the reigning continental indoor 60m bronze medallist, and is again expected to be in the hunt for a podium finish at the European indoor championships in Paris later this winter.
Reif, 26, stunned the athletics world with his gold medal performance in the Long Jump in Barcelona where he leaped 8.47m, the farthest in the world in 2010. His 8.10m indoor career best was set at the national championships in 2010 at Karlsruhe's Europahalle, and he'll be aiming to improve on that as he looks towards his first European indoor championships appearance.
