()
The organisers of the ‘Utrecht Night of the 10,000m’ event on 17 May 2007 in Utrecht (The Netherlands) are again trying to assemble one of the strongest races in the world of women’s 10,000m running. Many top athletes will take part in order to obtain the qualification time for the 2007 World Championships in Athletics.
In last edition of the ‘Utrecht Night of the 10,000m’ which was held in 2005 Kenyan runners Edith Masai and Irene Kwambai as part of a field of 18 international athletes ran the fastest times ever seen in The Netherlands – 30:51:99 and 30:55:67), thanks to the pace making of Lornah Kiplagat.
Utrecht is known for good results in the long distances, and the conditions on this track in May are mostly good; no wind and a pleasant temperature (around 15 degrees at the time of running).
