Two-year sanctions for Kuzenkova, Krivelyova and Bilonog

Monaco – The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) confirms that cases resulting from the retesting of anti-doping samples taken at the Olympic Games, Athens 2004, and the IAAF World Championships, Helsinki 2005, have been concluded for the following three athletes who have been sanctioned accordingly:

Athens 2004

- Yuriy Bilonog (UKR): 2 year-ineligibility commencing on 27.03.2013 and disqualification of results between 18.08.2004 and 17.08.2006.

- Svetlana Krivelyova (RUS): 2 year-ineligibility commencing on 2.04.2013 and disqualification of results between 18.08.2004 and 17.08.2006.

Helsinki 2005

- Olga Kuzenkova (RUS): 2-year-ineligibility commencing on 27.03.2013 and disqualification of results between 12.08.2005 and 11.08.2007.

In the cases of Mr Bilonog and Ms Krivelyova, the above sanctions concluded under IAAF Rules are in addition to the sanctions previously imposed by the IOC to disqualify both athletes from the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and to withdraw their respective medals and diplomas.

The IAAF will not make any comment about other re-testing cases previously announced until the completion of those proceedings.
