Monte-Carlo - The IAAF has the pleasure to announce that the winner of the World Athletics Day Poster Contest is Meri Zanolla of Monfalcone, Italy.
A 37-year-old fan of Usain Bolt and Blanka Vlasic among others, Zanolla submitted her creation (see photo) for the first ever IAAF World Athletics Day Poster Contest and her artwork was selected and will be featured as the official image of this world-wide Athletics campaign.
The IAAF World Athletics Day was created back in 1996 with the aim of bringing together the global family of Athletics in a special promotion that sees each of the IAAF Member Federations organize an athletics competition in the same period.
In the year that sees the International Association of Athletics Federations celebrate its Centenary, and for the first time in the history of the World Athletics Day the IAAF offered all athletics fans around the world the unique chance to take part in an online contest to determine the official poster of the IAAF World Athletics Day.

Le vainqueur de la Compétition de l'affiche de la Journée mondiale de l'athlétisme est annoncé
Monte-Carlo – L'IAAF a le plaisir d'annoncer que la gagnante de la Compétition de l'affiche de la Journée mondiale de l'athlétisme est Meri Zanolla, de la ville italienne de Monfalcone.
Grand fan d'athlétisme, et particulièrement d'Usain Bolt et de Blanka Vlasic, Zanolla, 37 ans, a soumis sa création (voir la photo accompagnant l'article) pour cette première Compétition de l'affiche de la Journée mondiale de l'athlétisme, et c'est son œuvre qui a été sélectionnée et servira d'image officielle à cette campagne internationale de l'athlétisme.
La Journée mondiale de l'athlétisme de l'IAAF, inaugurée en 1996, a pour objectif de rassembler la grande famille de l'athlétisme par le biais d'une promotion spéciale, au cours de laquelle chaque Fédération membre de l'IAAF organise une compétition d'athlétisme à la même période.
L'IAAF, qui célèbre son Centenaire cette année, a, pour la première fois depuis la création de l'événement, offert aux fanatiques d'athlétisme du monde entier l'opportunité de participer à une compétition en ligne et soumettre leur propre proposition pour l'affiche officielle de la Journée mondiale de l'athlétisme de l'IAAF 2012.
