Kenya’s Catherine Ndereba who won her first IAAF World Outdoor title at the 2003 IAAF World Championships in Paris has joined the list of donors for the IAAF Humanitarian project Athletics for a Better World.

33-year-old Ndereba donated the shoes and competition kit she wore when winning a superb World Marathon title at the IAAF 2003 World Championships in Paris.

An excellent road running specialist, Ndereba won silver at the Athens Olympic Games on the original Marathon course. She again won silver at this summer's IAAF World Championships in Helsinki where she led her country to the Marathon World Cup team gold.

Ndereba set a super World Marathon Best time of 2:18:47 at the 2001 edition of the Chicago Marathon, a time which stood for almost two years. She is still the second fastest women's marathon runner of all-time.

Ndereba's donations will be auctioned at the end of the year and all profits donated to the United Nations Associations: FAO, UNICEF and WFP.
