The authors, the renowned statisticians A. Lennart Julin (SWE) and Mirko Jalava (FIN) begin their analysis of the Athletics events of 2005 with the Sprints, followed by Middle Distance inc. Steeplechase (24 Dec), Long Distance (26), Marathon/Walks(27), Hurdles (28), Jumps (29),Throws (30), and conclude the series on New Year’s Eve with their opinions about this year’s Combined Events competitions.
