After sustaining an injury earlier this week, Jaroslav Baba, the Olympic and World indoor bronze medallist in the high jump, will miss the upcoming World Indoor Championships in Moscow.
Baba sustained an ankle injury at the High Jump meeting in Weinheim, Germany on Wednesday. Later scans of injured ankle found damage severe enough to cancel the rest of his indoor season.
"I tried to jump even with my pain, but it was not possible," said Baba. "Now I will have enough time to get totally healthy."
