WinnerJacko GILL, NZL
It is fantastic to win in a row the third time the gold medal. Of course, I tried to break the World Record, so I am a little bit disappointed that it did not happen today. I am not unsed to the great heat, but the atmosphere in the stadium is great. It was fun to compete. Now I will have two weeks holidays in Sweden, then I go home and will start with the training. I guess I will compete again in October. My next big goal will be the World Championships in Moscow 2013.

Second - Krzysztof BRZOZOWSKI, POL
I am very happy. I tried to beat Jacko Gill but he is too good. I am in the shock but it is fantastic because now I am the 4th best ever in the world. Now I have one month holiday in my hometown. I will try to change my technique from classic to spinner.

Third - Damien BIRKINHEAD, AUS
I am very happy and excited to be the first Australian athlete to win the World Championships medal in shot put. Both my oponents Jacko and Krzysztof are very strong and I am really excited to take part and win bronze with a result over 21 metres and to be in the final where the championship record was broken three times. For this summer my goal is to train even more and improve my technique and strength.
