Surrounding this weekend’s IAAF Council meeting (21 / 22 March) there is a full schedule of other meetings, all these gatherings having a special focus considering that Berlin will this summer will host the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (15 to 13 August), the largest sporting event on the planet in 2009.
In one of a series of informal meetings between IAAF officials and the German and international press who have gathered in the German capital to cover the weekend’s discussions, IAAF Senior Vice-President Sergey Bubka (UKR) last night was on hand to answer questions about the sport.
