Barcelona, SpainTwotime Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown will line up in her specialty event at the Míting Ciutat de Barcelona on 25 July, organisers announced.

The Jamaican has amassed four Olympic gold medals - two in the relays - and a World 100m title in 2007 in a stellar career that began in her days as a teenaged competitor, when she also won world titles in the youth and junior categories.

With her sizzling 21.74 dash in Beijing last summer, the fastest in a decade, Campbell-Brown became only the second woman to successfully defend an Olympic 200m crown.

Just prior to her Olympic triumph last year, Campbell-Brown won in Barcelona with a new meeting record on 21.98.

Campbell-Brown will open her season at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York on 30 May where she'll contest the 100m.

The meeting will take place in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. 18 disciplines in total will be organised, nine each in the male and female categories.
