Jamaica’s World and Olympic 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser, who sped to the Jamaican 200m title (22.40 sec) last weekend, hasn’t run a 100m dash since her surprise false-start disqualification at the Rome Diamond League meeting on 10 June.

The fourth equal fastest 100m sprinter of all time, thanks to her 10.73 sec run when winning the World title in Berlin last summer, Fraser is looking to get over her recent Rome hiccup when she takes on the 100m again at the Prefontaine Classic - Samsung Diamond League on Sat 3 July.

“My next Diamond League is at the Prefontaine Classic in Oregon so with this (Rome DQ) behind me I am now looking forward to the rest of my season."

“I got my cobwebs and mistakes out, so it’s time to press on the gas,” confirmed  Shelly-Ann.
