| Olympic champion and world champion Debbie Ferguson is one of the world famous Bahamas Golden Girls. Both in Sydney 2000 and Seville 1999, she anchored her nation’s 4x100m relay team. 2000 was an excellent season during which she lowered her personal best in the 100m to 10.96 and qualified for both the 100m and the 200m Olympic finals. 1999 Panamerican champion at 200m, Debbie also won the CAC championships in 1995 (200m) and 1997 (100m) and the NCAA championships in 1998 in both sprint races.
