Ertl, Schonbeck warming up for Olympics

German athletes Karin Ertl and Florian Schonbeck continued their preparations for next month's Olympic Games with convincing performances at the weekend meeting in Munich.

Ertl, who will compete in the heptathlon in Athens, triumphed in the 100 metres hurdles in 13.60 seconds, while a leap of 5.83 metres was enough to earn her victory in the long jump.

Decathlete Schonbeck won the pole vault event by clearing a height of 5.10 metres, while taking second place in the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.30 seconds.
