Five reigning individual World champions, Sanya Richards-Ross, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Kerron Clement, Melaine Walker and Ryan Brathwaite have been confirmed for the Jamaica International Invitational in Kingston on 7 May 2011.

The Jamaica International Invitational is an IAAF World Challenge meeting.

The meeting set for Kingston's National Stadium will also see other big names such as Asafa Powell, Carmelita Jeter, two-time Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown, Olympic 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu, Samsung Diamond League 400m Hurdles Diamond Trophy winner Kaliese Spencer, Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie of The Bahamas and Terrence Trammell of USA.

The men's 200m where Asafa Powell awaits his MVP training partner Nesta Carter and danger-man American Wallace Spearmon, currently seems to be the clash of the meet.

Also expected to be hot is the women's 400m, where Richards-Ross will take on 2007 World and 2008 Olympic champion Ohuruogu and the fast improving Spencer. Novlene Williams-Mills and United States' Natasha Hastings are also down for the women's 400m, while Jermaine Gonzales will make his season debut countryman Ricardo Chambers in the men's event.

Jeter, last year’s meet winner, is up against Stewart in the women's 100m which should bring back vivid memories of last year when they battled to the line. Add Trinidad and Tobago's Kelly-Ann Baptiste, Jamaica’s Sherone Simpson and American Marshervet Myers to that field.

In the men's 100m, American Darvis Patton, Jamaicans Yohan Blake and Michael Frater, along with Antigua and Barbuda's Daniel Bailey will make it very interesting.

Campbell-Brown will be tested over the 200m distance by Fraser-Pryce, Bianca Knight of the United States and Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie of The Bahamas. Shericka Williams is also listed for this event.

The men's 100m hurdles will feature Brathwaite of Barbados, Jamaican Dwight Thomas, along with Americans Trammell and Antwon Hicks.

Reigning Olympic and World champion Melaine Walker headlines the women's 400m hurdles, while Clement is the top draw in the men's event.
