FacebookTwitterEmail

Alfred Kirwa YEGO KEN
Everybody was prepared for the race. With only the top two qualifying, the semis are almost like a final. I expected Mbulaeni Mulaudzi to be my major challenger, so I just stayed behind him and surged in the homestraight. It's difficult to talk about the final yet. It will also depend on the weather conditions.

Mbulaeni MULAUDZI RSA
It was really not tough. I controlled the second position. I expected such a fast pace which will bring us to sub 1.45. I m seeing another fast race in the final. But I'm ready for any kind.

Rashid RAMZI BRN
My left knee hurt, but this was not the reason why I was last. I was simply tired. I did not run a lot of races this year and this is already my fifth race at the world championships. I came here to Osaka only to run the 1500 metres, but when I did not win the gold medal I wanted to give it a try with the 800 metres. It was my own decision, there was no pressure from the Bahraini federation. This is the rule of sport - one time you win, another time you loose.

Wilfred BUNGEI KEN
The most important thing is that I made it to the final. I was a bit worried. When you see these guys, they are all strong. For the final, I've changed my tactics but it's gonna be a secret. I can't say that for now. I'm running with a tendon injury sustained during the Kenyan training camp. But I don't want to think about it, I just want to focus on the race.

Gary REED CAN
I stay confident. I just have to keep what I've been doing and race for fun.

Yuriy BORZAKOVSKIY RUS
I believed we will catch the British runner. I did not feel too much pressure today. No idea about the pace for finals. What will be better for me? Let's see after the start...
