Gold "I just wanted to make sure I was out of the blocks ahead of Colin Jackson, so that he could not disturb my rhythm. After the semifinal I was dehydrated and I drank a lot during the night. Today I felt rejuvenated. Then whilst warming up I knew I would achieve an exceptional time." -Colin Jackson (GBR) - Silver "I thought I might have enough for the gold medal, but anyway this was the time and place for my top performance. I'm back to my best and Allen is at his best. Afew more weeks of training and we could have a great head to head and maybe a crack at the world record." -Igor Kovak (SVK) -Bronze "I was satisfied with the start and the first hurdle, even if after it my pickup was rather slow. Maybe it was good that I was running alone, because lane two was not occupied, and so my dreams came true after so many years."
