31 May 2000 – All eyes at Duke University will be on the latest US sprint revelation Coby Miller as the NCAA Track and Field Championships start today.

Miller, who is majoring in Criminal Justice in Auburn and plans a career in the FBI, has his sights set on taking titles in the 100m and 200m and will also run in the 4x100m relay.

He comes to the meet at the head of the collegiate sprint roll, with his season’s best of 10.05 in the 100m (Tempe, 15 April 2000) placing him fourth in the IAAF 100m Performance Lists, the same place he holds in the 200m, with his 20.17 clocking from the 1 April meet at his Alma Mater. But these times are still slower than his personal bests last year of 10.03 and 20.04, respectively.

After the NCAA Championships, Miller will be concentrating on his preparations for the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials, in Sacramento, California in July.
