Gold medalTianqian GUO (CHN) 15.24

"Surely I'm very happy to get this award! I was not nervous at all during the competition; however, I was quite relaxed. It's my first time to compete in a foreign country for an international athletic championship; I was excited to get the result of 15m24 although this time I didn't reach my best result which is 16m45. I admired the spirit of my British competitor, she's strong. I cherish very much this opportunity to compete in France and my coach is very satisfied with my performance!"

Silver medal - Sophie MCKINNA (GBR) 14.90

"The silver medal, it is a fantastic result for me. I am very happy. Today Tianqian Guo was too strong. I haven't got any regrets."

Bronze medal - Katinka URBANIAK (GER) 14.71

"I am just happy to win the bronze medal. My goal was to beat my personal record, but that doesn't work. Last year I participated in Singapore for the Olympic Youth Games, but here it was totally different. My parents were here to support me.

Now I focus on the qualification for the discus throw. Also in this discipline I want to be under the first six."
