The Kuortane High Performance Training Centre which is part of the global network of IAAF Accredited Training Centres (ATC), will host a World Javelin Conference from 9 to 11 October.
The conference is part of European Athletics Coaching Summit Series and has attracted as guest speakers Asmund Martinsen, the coach of Andreas Thorkildsen, Helge Zöllkau who trains Steffi Nerius, Hannu Kangas who is Tero Pitkämäki’s guide, and Kuortane centre director Tapio Korjus, 1988 Olympic champion, who coaches Mikaela Ingberg.
