IAAF flag raised in London

The IAAF's Olympic Games offices at the British Library were officially inaugurated today at a flag-raising ceremony at the British Library Piazza in London.

IAAF President Lamine Diack and Steve Morris, the Director of Finance and Corporate Services of the British Library, were joined at the ceremony by IAAF General Secretary Essar Gabriel, the IAAF Director of the President's Office Cheikh Thiare, and other members of the IAAF staff.

Athletics competition at the XXX Olympic Games begins on Friday 3 August and concludes on Sunday 12 August. The traditional IAAF Dinner on the eve of the competitions takes place at The Guildhall on Thursday 2 August. The IAAF Council will meet on Tuesday 31 July at the Pullman London St Pancras Hotel with a press conference to follow which will be held at the IAAF Offices in the British Library Annex.
