IAAF President Lamine Diack host's press conference in Vilamoura tomorrow
16 March 2000 - Vilamoura - Lamine Diack will host his first World Athletic Series Press Conference tomorrow, in his capacity as IAAF President, on the occasion of the 28th edition of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Vilamoura.
The Press Conference will take place tomorrow (March 17) at 16:00 (local time) in the Gemini Room of the Hotel Marinotel, Vilamoura. A number of star athletes have also been invited to attend.
A record number of entries (80) have been received for this event, and 79 countries have confirmed they will participate in the weekend's activity. Six races are scheduled for March 18-19.
On Saturday, the Opening Ceremony is at 10:25, followed by the Junior Women's race at 11:00, the Senior Men's short race (4km) at 11:40 and Senior Women's long race (8km) at 12:10. On Sunday, the Junior Men's race starts at 10:30 followed by the Senior Women's short race (4km) at 11:15 and the Senior Men's long race (12km) at 11:55.
