IAAF provisionally suspends Neelam Jaswant Singh

Helsinki, FinlandDiscus Thrower Neelam Jaswant Singh (IND) has been provisionally suspended by the IAAF following an adverse analytical finding for the prohibited substance, pemoline (S6. Stimulants). The test was conducted in-competition in Helsinki on 7 August 2005.

Ms Singh is provisionally suspended under IAAF Rules pending a hearing before the relevant disciplinary tribunal of the Athletics Federation of India. The sanction for a first-time violation for pemoline is a minimum of 2 years.
