Gold MedallistPerdita FELICIEN CAN

" I am shocked! My goal was to just run the final and hopefully break the national record.

"It was really great to compete with relatively no pressure on me. At the NCAA's everybody always expects me to win, here nobody thought of it so I felt much more relaxed.

"I knew I needed a fast start and I practiced it a lot. It seemed to have paid off. I knew I was ahead and did everything possible to stay ahead till the line. I was just going for it hurdle after hurdle, but I still can not believe ie.

"My university started today, so I am actually missing class to be here. I hope they will not mind when I go back as the World champion."

Silver Medallist -Brigitte FOSTER JAM

"I trained so hard all year that I am really disappointed with the silver."

Bronze Medallist - Miesha MCKELVY USA

" I am so excited, it's like a gold medal for me. I just don't remember anything about the race, I have to go back and see what happened.

"I wanted to compete well and I was saying to myself: just go and get something. I haven't done many races this year but seems to have suited me.

"I knew that the girl with the best start will win the race. I don't bother myself with this new rule but for what we have seen it's weird, they are using us as guinea pigs.

"Now I really want to go home. I'll train for two weeks and I will be back in the track."

7th - Patricia GIRARD FRA

"I am very happy for Perdita (FELICIEN). She is very talented and she did not miss her chance.

"I did not run as well as I wanted to here in Paris. Nevertheless the atmosphere here in the stadium was amazing. These are the last World Championships I competed in."
