America's 200 metres world record holder Michael Johnson will line up for the 200m in the
International Amateur Athletic Federation permit meeting in Fort de France (Martinique) on
Saturday.
This will be the fourth race this year for the 31-year-old double Olympic champion at 200
and 400 metres. Johnson who clocked 44.51 on April 17 at his local Waco track in Texas,
had previously run two 200m races in South Africa in March, his season best over the
distance so far being 20.10.
"He was in need of a race and we came to an agreement with his agent Brad Hunt,"
meet organiser Lucien Sainte-Rose said on Friday.
