Heptathlon after 4 events

After two more events – the shot put and the high jump – the lead had changed in the heptathlon at the end of the first day’s action. Erki Nool had dropped to fifth place after marks of 14.87 and 1.93 (3476 points) and Chris Huffins was fourth thanks to marks of 15.53 and 1.96 (3510 points). In gold medal position at the moment is Roman Sebrle of the Czech Republic (15.27 and 2.11) with 3616 points, his countryman Tomas Dvorak (16.70 and 1.99) is second with 3550 points while Sebastian Chmara of Poland is third with 3548 points (15.89 and 2.11).
