Men Triple Jump Qualification

Automatic qualification with 15.65 or at least 12 best qualified.

Eight athletes achieved the automatic qualification mark of 15.65 metres and four other athletes with the next best mark will join them in the Final.

The leading mark came from Davy Manga (FRA) in the B Group, who cleared 15.59 with his first attempt, fouled his second then soared to 16.11 metres with his final attempt.

Close behind Manga was Yanxi Li from China with his first attempt clearance of 16.05 metres.

Third best qualifier in this group was Rafeeq Curry from the USA with 15.91 metres on his second attempt after a first round foul.

In Group A, the leading qualifier was Aleksandr Sergeyev (RUS) with a first attempt of 15.95 metres and Ndiss Kaba Badji with 15.79 metres for Senegal.
