Morocco sends six athletes to IAAF/Westel World Youth

Moroccan athletes will take part in the IAAF/Westel World Youth Championships in Debrecen,
Hungary from 12-15 July the second edition of this manifestation open to athletes
under 18 years of age.
The Moroccan delegation, which will be led by Technical Director Mahjoub Mouhcine, will include the National Coach Abdelaziz Saher, formerly the Moroccan champion in the 3000m Steeplechase and husband of 400 metre hurdles world vice/champion Nezha Bidouane.
Three boys and three girls will represent Morocco at the Championships, including Meriem Alaoui Selsouli, the schools world cross country champion from Marrakech 2000.
In the inaugural edition of the World Youth Championships, held in Bydgoszcz, Poland in 1999, Morocco took home one bronze medal, won by Anouar Acila in the 3000 metres.
