Lavillenie and Vicaut among top French stars set for Paris – IAAF Diamond League

Olympic pole vault champion Renaud Lavillenie and European 100m record-holder Jimmy Vicaut are two of many leading French athletes set to compete on 27 August at the Meeting de Paris, the 12th stop of this year's IAAF Diamond League.

Lavillenie, a six-time Diamond Race winner, will be joined in the pole vault by 2014 European bronze medallist Kevin Menaldo and European finalist Stanley Joseph.

Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad lines up in the steeplechase against his predecessor as European champion, Yoann Kowal, while Pierre-Ambroise Bosse will carry French hopes in the 800m.

Elsewhere, European silver medallist Floria Guei contests the 400m, 2014 European champion Benjamin Compaore takes on Harold Correa in the triple jump, Cindy Billaud and Sandra Gomis will line up for the 100m hurdles and 2013 world silver medallist Melina Robert-Michon goes in the discus.
