Petra Lammert puts 19.81m

Petra Lammert achieved a personal best in the women's event at a Shot Put meeting in Schapbach (Southwest Geermany) on Saturday (25th June). The 21 year-old talent put 19.81 m to win the competition. It was the first time she managed a put beyond the 19m mark. Lammert had a personal best of 18.99 m from this season before. The men’s event was won by Ralf Bartels. He confirmed his recent good form with 21.05 m.

On the same day Tim Lobinger and Richard Spiegelburg were shared the win in a Pole Vault competition in Ingolstadt (Bavaria). Both cleared 5.70m while Danny Ecker took third place with 5.65. 

On Friday (24th June) Roman Fricke had won a High Jump meeting in Bühl (Southwest Germany) by clearing 2.30m. With this jump he tied his personal best and beat the national qualifying standard for Helsinki for the first time this season.

German Championships will be held at Wattenscheid (West Germany) next weekend.
