Primo Nebiolo one of five leading sports administrators of the century

According to a poll published by the official IOC publication "Olympic Review", IAAF President Primo Nebiolo, who passed away on 7th November this year, is one of the five leading sports administrators of the century.

The selection was based on a poll conducted among all of the National Olympic Committees. The other administrators selected for this singular recognition were: the current IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch; the founder of the Olympic movement, Pierre de Coubertin; former IOC president (1952-1972) Avery Brundage and the past president of the Interational Football Federation, Joao Havelange.

Olympic Review also named their five sportsmen of the century: Mohammed Ali (Boxing), Carl Lewis (Athletics), Michael Jordan (Basketball), Mark Spitz(Swimming) and Pele (Football).
