It's not quite Broadway, but it is pretty close. Two-time World High Jump champion Blanka Vlasic will be making her U.S. competitive debut at the Millrose Games in New York City on 29 January.

The Millrose Games is the first IAAF Indoor Permit Meeting of 2010.

The 26-year-old Croatian heroine's appearance at Madison Square Garden will be her second of the season as she prepares to defend her World indoor title in Doha in March. Vlasic is scheduled to make her season's debut in Trinec, Czech Republic, on 26 January.

Vlasic will be coming off another sensational season, one which witnessed a career-best equalling 2.05m clearance indoors and a 2.08m leap outdoors before a home crowd in Zagreb which elevated her to the No. 2 position all-time. She also won her second consecutive World outdoor title in one of the most dramatic competitions at last summer's World Championships.

Lopes-Schliep, Hardee enter 60m Hurdles fields

Organisers also announced that 2008 Olympic bronze medallist and Berlin World Championships silver medallist Priscilla Lopes-Schliep of Canada will defend her Millrose title in the women's 60m Hurdles, gunnin for a third consecutive madison Square Garden crown.

In the men's event, Trey Hardee, the reigning World champion in the Decathlon, has joined the field. He'll face reigning World 110m Hurdles champion Ryan Brathwaite of Barbados and two-time Olympic Games silver medallist Terrence Trammell of the US who were previously announced.

The first event of the 2010 USA Track & Field Visa Championship Series, the Millrose Games will be televised live on ESPN2 from 8-10 p.m., US Eastern Time.
