| "I love this new javelin. I was given my first spear with the new specification in Budapest last year at the European championships. This is of course the home of Nemeth, a great Olympic champion himself (1976)and a wonderful designer of javelins. I must thank him. I remained confident that I would hold on to my medal even though Hattestad (NOR) was still to throw and I'm delighted with my result." |

| "Of course I hoped to win, but I am quite satisfied with this medal too. I knew the Greek was the one to be afraid of but Shikolenko's good performance was a surprise. I think the results we all got are guite good. These are the first championships with the new javelin so it is hard to compare the throws with earlier results." |

| "Esta muy segura de mis posibilidades cuando llegue a Sevilla. Tenia la medalla de oro en mi mente todo el tiempo. Queria hacer aqui la mejor marca mundial tambien, y por tanto estoy bastante feliz por como han ido las cosas. Durante la competicion solo me preocupe de mi concurso, no me comunique con las otras. El unico momento en el que estaba un poco preocupada fue cuando Trine iba a realizar su ultimo lanzamiento. No podia mirar". |

| "Me encanta la nueva jabalina. Me dieron la primera con la nueva especificacion en Budapest el ano pasado en los Campeonatos de Europa. Esta era, por supuesto, de la casa Nemeth, un gran campeon olimpico en si mismo (1976) que es ademas un maravilloso disenador de jabalinas. Debo darle las gracias. No perdi la confianza en conseguir mi medalla aunque todavia Hattestad (NOR) tenia que lanzar y por tanto estoy encantada con mi resultado". |

"Por supuesto que esperaba ganar pero estoy bastante
satisfecha con esta medalla. Sabia que tenia que temer a la griega pero la buena actuacion
de Shikolenko fue una sorpresa. Creo que los resultados que hemos conseguimos han sido
bastante buenos. Estos son los primeros Campeonatos con la nueva jabalina asi que es
dificil comparar los tiros con resultados anteriores".   |
