Angelica BENGTSSON (SWE)GOLD4.25m
I feel good. Gold medal. The height was not that good, but it’s a gold medal.
[I think I’ll make 4.51m, my goal height,] in Singapore [at the Youth Olympic Games].
The weather is so great. But the wind was blowing right from the side. But that actually didn’t bother me until 4.30m. It was only one jump that got affected, but I don’t know what happened. I will have to watch the videos.
I don’t know what went wrong.
It’s (pole vault) the best event you can do.
Victoria VON EYNATTEN (GER) - SILVER - 4.20m
I’m just so happy. I wanted to make the finals, because it was my first international championship, and now it’s a medal. It’s just amazing.
[It felt] great, really great [to run the victory lap with the Germany flag].
I have so many people at home who are supporting me and I just will tell them how great it was. They really supported me, and wished me good luck.
Holly BLEASDALE (GBR) - BRONZE MEDAL - 4.15m
The wind was quite tough for me and I had a couple of scares, but it went really well. I’m so happy.
I’d really been hoping I’d medal.
I really enjoyed that lap of honour.
