25-year-old Chilean sprint champion  Sebastian Keitel won a convincing victory over world record holder Donovan Bailey (CAN) during the Sao Leopoldo meeting in Brazil last weekend.

The Chilean crossed the line 3-hundredths of a second ahead of Bailey in a time of 10.10*. This was a personal best for Keitel, bronze medallist in the 1995 World Indoor Championships in the 200m.

Later in the meeting, Keitel went on to mark an excellent 19.93* in the 200m.

Keitel continues the family sporting tradition: his father was Chilean sprint champion in the 1960s and his grandmother won the South American discus title in 1939!
