Event Report - Boys' Long Jump Final

FacebookTwitterEmail

Six clear rounds, with just one subpar jump, ending with a legal Championships record of 7.95 after a best wind-aided jump of 7.97 gave Chris Noffke the gold medal in the boys’ Long Jump this evening.

Noffke’s best jump, which came in the fourth round, put him 44 centimetres clear of second placer Tiberiu Talnar from Romania, who produced his best distance with his first jump: a wind-aided 7.53m.

Brazil’s Cleiton Sabino took his second bronze medal of the Championships when he pulled a jump of  7.49m out of the bag at his last attempt, a personal best and a massive improvement on the  6.81 metres he turned in for the Octathlon.
