Olympic Discus Throw champion Stephanie Brown Trafton was disappointed with her showing in Berlin last month, but feels that her off day at Olympic Stadium was just part of her maturity process.

Hi,

"Berlin was quite challenging for me coming back from a breakout Olympic season.  I have been maturing as a world class thrower this year and my poor results in Berlin are also part of the struggle.  I look forward to coming back from Berlin with a fresh perspective and new goals.  My technique is coming together and if I can get my tempo and timing back on the right track I will be fighting back from defeat to victory.

"In between Grand Prix meets I am spending time in the UK helping to inspire the younger generation of throwers.  My British family is hosting me and are helping to connect me with local athletics clubs to train with and put on seminars for technique and "Olympian thinking skills".  Here is an article published about in last week's Isle of Wight Newspress.

Take care,

Stephanie Brown Trafton
