Men’s 110m hurdles preview – IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014

World leader Wilhem Belocian and David Omoregie have both shown superb form this year with times of 13.15 and 13.17 respectively.

The Frenchman and the Briton rank third and fourth on the all-time lists, have both owned the European junior record this summer, and a final may see one of them bring down Yordan O”Farrill’s championship record of 13.18 and perhaps even Wayne Davis’ world record of 13.08 over the 99/100cm barriers.

Jamaica's Carifta Games champion Tyler Mason, with a best of 13.25 will also be a serious medal contender.

Nor far behind are Japan’s Taio Kanai (13.33), another Frenchman, Benjamin Sedecias (13.40). National junior champion Nick Anderson (13.37) and Isaiah Moore (13.40) are aiming to become the first American to win the 110m hurdles gold in 10 years but would probably just be happy with a place on the podium.
