Monte-Carlo - The IAAF is very pleased to announce that it has signed a 10 year licensing deal with Nirmal Lifestyle, one of India’s leading real estate companies.
Nirmal Lifestyle will help to promote and develop athletics in India by creating international standard athletic facilities and academies across the country. These centres, which will be certified by IAAF, will be equipped with of top class training facilities and will benefit from the expertise of IAAF certified coaching expertise.
An exclusive licensing agreement was signed by Dharmesh Jain, Chairman and MD, Nirmal Lifestyle, and Elio Locatelli, Development Director, IAAF, on 4 July, 2011 in the presence of Mike Powell, World Long Jump record holder. Nirmal Lifestyle will work closely with IAAF and its national member federation the 'Athletics Federation of India' in designing and developing athletics and athletes in India at grass-root and performance level.
Dharmesh Jain, Chairman and MD of Nirmal Lifestyle, said, “IAAF is the authority for athletics and we are truly honoured to partner with them in our endeavour to uplift standards for athletics in India. This is the first time a real estate company has taken the lead in building world-class sports facilities and infrastructure for Indian communities across the country.”
Mike Powell, World Long Jump record holder, said, “India is an emerging country in sports that requires nurturing and development at grass-root and performance level. The IAAF – Nirmal Lifestyle initiatives will contribute to developing overall athletics in India.”

L’IAAF conclut un partenariat stratégique avec le groupe indien Nirmal Lifestyle
Monte-Carlo - L'IAAF a le plaisir d’annoncer la signature d’un accord de licence d’une durée de 10 ans avec Nirmal Lifestyle, un des principaux groupes immobiliers indiens.
Nirmal Lifestyle apportera son concours à la promotion et au développement de l’athlétisme en Inde par la création d’académies et d'installations sportives répondant aux normes internationales à travers tout le pays. Ces centres, qui seront certifiés par l'IAAF, seront équipés des meilleures infrastructures et bénéficieront de l'expertise d’entraîneurs certifiés IAAF.
Cet accord de licence exclusif a été signé par Dharmesh Jain, le PDG de Nirmal Lifestyle, et Elio Locatelli, le directeur du Développement à l'IAAF, le 4 juillet 2011, en présence de Mike Powell, le détenteur du record du monde de saut en longueur. Nirmal Lifestyle travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l'IAAF et la fédération nationale indienne "Athletics Federation of India" en termes de conception et de développement de l’athlétisme et des athlètes indiens depuis le niveau débutant jusqu’au plus haut niveau.
