The IAAF has today released the list of athletes who were tested as part of the IAAF out-of-competition testing programme during 2006. Each year the IAAF designates an elite pool of athletes who are included on its “Registered Testing Pool”. These athletes are required to provide the IAAF with regular whereabouts information and are subject to the IAAF doping control programme.
All athletes included on the list were tested at least once, with many receiving multiple tests throughout the year.
Athletes from 75 Member Federations are represented on the list, with sample collection taking place in 57 different countries. The top three tested nations were Russia, Kenya and then the USA.
