46th Senegalese Championships

The sprinter Oumar Loum was the star of the 46th Senegalese Championships (28-30 July) thanks to a 10.23 (+4.3m/s) clocking in the 100m and a dominant run in the 200m in 21.07, in the Stadium Iba Mar Diop.

There was also a good performance by the young 20-year-old French athlete of Senegalese origin, Lucie Mendy, in women’s 100m who won in 11.84 seconds.

Military serviceman Adama Camara produced the only national record of championships by throwing the men's Hammer 52.40m.
