14 June 2000The 52nd edition of Venizeleia International Meeting in Chania, Greece on Wednesday was a success with three world leading marks set by Tatyana Lebedeva (15.01m), Wilson Kipketer (8:07.64.) and Allen Johnson (13.22).
Katerina Thanou won the 100 metres in 10.93 and Tim Montgomery the mens race with 10.06. Three women exceeded 67 metres in the discus throw where Franka Dietzsch was the winner with 68.08m. Other marks: Eric Thomas 48.81, Tim Lobinger 5.83m. Deon Hemings 54.41, Svetla Dimitrova 12.78, Yuriy Belonog 20.74 m., James Beckford 8.28 m.
