200m World champion Allyson Felix of the US donated her personalized sprint spikes to the IAAF’s Athletics for a Better World humanitarian project.

The 19-year-old who also won the Olympic silver medal in Athens 2004 and holds the World Junior record at 200m handed her autographed spikes to Debbie Ferguson, the Americas' Ambassador of the project.

Felix had a superb 2005 summer season which she ended as the World Number 1 ranked athlete in the 200m event and 18th overall.

Felix’s spikes are only the latest of a number of prestigious items which the IAAF will soon auction on its website.

All profits made with the auction will be donated to the United Nations Associations: FAO, UNICEF and WFP.
