One of the stars of Friday's international indoor meeting in Dortmund will be on the missing list.

World record-holder (outdoors) triple-jumper Jonathan Edwards (GBR) has had to withdraw from the Dortmund meeting, following an ankle injury sustained in a competition in Norway last weekend.

Edwards, who took silver both in Atlanta and in last year's IAAF World Championships jumped a personal best indoors of 17.26 in Stavanger, Norway, but will now be receiving treatment and resting for several days. He hopes to participate in a meeting in Tampere, Finland, on February 4.
