The IAAF has yesterday (25 July) provisionally suspended the Slovenian athlete Jolanda CEPLAK following a positive doping control test for recombinant EPO.
The test was conducted as part of the targeted IAAF out-of-competition testing programme and was collected in Monaco on the 18th of June 2007.
The B sample has been tested and confirmed the result of the A.
As per IAAF Rules, this case has been referred to the Slovenian Athletic Federation who will be responsible for the conduct of the disciplinary hearing.
As this remains an ongoing case, the IAAF will have no further comment until the hearing process has been completed.
