Baba leaps 2.34m in Jablonec

Czech High Jump record holder Jaroslav Baba confirmed his post-season shape on Friday at the first annual ‘Jablonecka latka’, in the northeast of the country.

On his third try the Olympic bronze medallist jumped over 2.34m and then unsuccessfully tried for a new national record 2.38m. Although he did not make it is clear it is only a matter of time.

His fellow countryman Tomas Janku jumped 2.27m for second time this indoor season.
