It was terrbily hot, so I am even happier that I have won. I am from Sarank, that is, as you know, the Mekka of walking. Walking is now my life, I onla started to walk three years ago. I was disappointed that I only was fourth in the WQorld Cup in Saransk. But now I believe in me. In Saransk I train with all the stars, even with the men.

It was really very, very hot. It was hard to compete in the first rounds because the other girls stepped on my foot. But the fans supported me. I am from Chebkosary where walking is very popular. After the race I phoned my mon (Ira), she was crying. I guess when I will come home there will be a big party in Cheboksary.
